Veterinary Assistant
Erin grew up in the country outside of Empire. She always had dogs, cats, chickens or random wildlife critters that needed care. As she became older veterinary medicine became her dream career. While in high school Erin began working at a local veterinary hospital. As she experienced the field her passion grew. The help of great doctors and technicians helped guide her further into the field. Erin worked at an emergency hospital in Grand Rapids, where she gained experience in emergency medicine. She also worked at a doggie daycare, boarding and training facility adding to her knowledge.
After two years her family and home in Northern Michigan was calling and she moved back to her roots. Erin has worked at Long Lake Animal Hospital since 2007 where she is surrounded by an amazing team of doctors and staff. Here, her passion for animal rehabilitation has grown. In 2012 Erin began her training in Animal Rehabilitation and has continued to add to her knowledge and love of these recovering animals. Erin has two sons that share her passion for their furry, scaled, shelled, and feathered family.
